[NH] September Is National Cholesterol Education Month
Cholesterol is both a good thing and a bad thing. Your body requires
it but to much can cause us harm. We get cholesterol from basically
two sources. Or body manufacturers it and we get it from the foods
that we eat.
There are no warning signs that one may have high cholesterol although
it can be picked up as deposits in your eyes by your optometrist
during routine eye exams. The best way to find out if you have high
levels is by a simple blood test your doctor can perform.
