2) Have 10 to 15 glasses of water every day as it hydrates and flush

3) Breakfast should not be skipped and it is a must as it provides 25%
percent of nutrients and energy to the body.

4) Quality of the food we take is very important as it determines
efficiency of work. Refined foods like white rice, white bread, pasta
should be avoided.

5) Two cups of green tea or herbal tea provides most health benefits,
including it makes skin glowing, helps for weight loss, and increases
efficiency in work.

6) Green vegetables and orange, yellow fruits must be included in the
diet as it is very rich phytonutrients, Vitamin C, Vitamin A prevents
many types of diseases including cancer and diabetes. Vegetables like

Here we discuss some of the top foods that should be taken in the diet
as less as possible in order to maintain good health. These foods when
added to the diet very often in large quantities aggravate the risk
for health disorders such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and
cardiovascular disorders. These unhealthy foods should be taken in
fewer quantities and should be compulsorily taken with healthy
ingredients. The Bangalore-based Dietitian and Nutritionist recommend
the following foods to be taken as less possible and to be added along
with healthy foods in order to maintain better health.

Let us discuss some of the top foods to eat less that include; Butter
contains high fats and cholesterol, so it should be taken in fewer
quantities. It is advised to consume 1 tea spoon of butter only for
the people who don't have high lipid profile. Carbonated beverages
like cola should be avoided as it contain zero nutrition, leach out
calcium from the bones and irritate the stomach lining, causing
discomfort. Fast food burgers are high in cholesterol, fats, high in
calories, as it affects the intake of overall nutrients. It should be
supplemented with healthy dishes in case you want to take fast food
burgers, and it should be limited in the quantity.

Adding of artificial food additives to the foods, should be best
avoided because it causes hyperactivity in children and causes allergy
in some people. Processed meat contain high content of nitrites,
saturated fats, and cholesterol, which cause health disorders, so it
should be best avoided, but it you want to eat it, take less quantity
once in a month is advisable by the Dietitians. Vegetable cooking oil
contains saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, cholesterol which
helps to gain weight, and helps to increase the risk of CAD, heart,
diabetes, and cancer. So it is advised by the dietitians that people
should not take more than 3 to 4 teaspoons of cooking oil for better
health.

[NH] Dr. Greger's 2012 nutrition presentation now on DVD (all proceeds to charity)

   
Every year I scour the world's scholarly literature on clinical nutrition pulling together what I find to be the most interesting, practical, and groundbreaking science on how best to feed ourselves and our families. I start with the 12,000 or so papers published annually on human nutrition and, thanks to a crack team of volunteers, am able to whittle those down to about 3,000 studies, which are downloaded, read, analyzed, and churned into a few hundred short videos so I can post a new video every day, year-round, to NutritionFacts.org. This certainly makes the site unique. There's no other science-based source for free daily video updates on the latest discoveries in nutrition. The problem is that the amount of information can be overwhelming.

NutritionFacts.org now has more than 500 videos covering over 1,000 subjects (http://nutritionfacts.org/topics ). Where do you even begin? Many have expressed their appreciation for the breadth of material presented, but asked that I please try to condense this body of work into a coherent summary on how best to use diet to prevent, treat, and even reverse chronic disease. I took this feedback to heart and developed a brand-new presentation that I premiered last week and will be giving around the country (http://www.DrGreger.org/dates.html ) all year. If you weren't at the premiere, no worries--Aaron Wissner of LocalFuture.org was, and he graciously volunteered to videotape it and so now everyone can see it!
